TIPPING Point fans have been left baffled after they spotted ANOTHER format shake-up on the ITV game show.
The programme, hosted by Ben Shephard, underwent a major change earlier this year when the contestants were reduced from four to three.
In addition, the second round was altered so the three contestants were given 45 seconds each instead of the previous 30.
However, Mondays episode of Tipping Point immediately prompted a reaction from viewers when they saw four contestants in the first round once again.
Ben, 47, didn't make any reference to the fact the fourth player had been reinstated, prompting a flurry of comments on Twitter from viewers.
One wrote: "I've just checked our TV magazines, there's no (repeat) next to the programme, and the on-screen synopsis says new. What's going on @TippingPointITV? I’m confused about the format".

Another added: "When did they go from 3 contestants to 4 again?”
A third tweeted: "Four contestants again? I must either be a time traveller, or this is a god-damn repeat! #TippingPoint."
Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Four contestants is so much better than three in my opinion #TippingPoint."
Unfortunately for these viewers, yesterday's episode was actually a repeat, and so the new format of three players is likely to return once new episodes are filmed.

Last week Tipping Point and The Chase were both taken off air with a major schedule change.
ITV had shaken up its schedule for the entirety of the week, meaning that shows from Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 17, would be affected.
This was due to the Royal Ascot, which was being broadcast live on ITV.
Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
