Lorraine Kelly reveals she was left bedridden with Covid as she returns to TV after being replaced by Carol Vorderman | The Sun

LORRAINE Kelly looked back to full health as she returned to TV after being replaced by Carol Vorderman last week.

Much to fans disappointment, Lorraine did not appear on her popular ITV show after falling ill with Covid.

Her comeback was announced during Good Morning Britain today with host Ranvir Singh revealing Lorraine was back on the air.

Lorraine told viewers: "I'm fine, I'm absolutely fine. It was the dreaded Covid."

Ranvir asked where she thought she caught the deadly bug, saying: "Was it Wimbledon?"

And Lorraine replied: "I actually don't know what it was. It could have been someone standing in the line at the supermarket.

The TV star revealed she turned to ITV's Doctor Amir Khan when she was struck down with the deadly bug.

Speaking as she returned to her show at 9am, she said: "It's a nasty one.

"The dreaded Covid caught me. The worst headaches actually floored me, I couldn't get up without feeling weird.

Former Countdown host Carol, 61, covered for Lorraine last week.

She delighted her fans by sporting a figure-hugging green leather skirt, which she paired with a bright yellow top with a keyhold detail around the cleavage.

Carol told Susanna and Ed Balls: "Lorraine's caught the dreaded you know what, and I'm sitting in for a few days here, which I'm delighted to do.

"But we are wishing her a speedy recovery as she is a bit [sad face]."
