Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta crowned winners of Dancing On Ice 2022

After 10 weeks of performances, Regan Gascoigne has been crowned winner ofDancing On Ice 2022.

This year’s celebrities took to the ice for the live shows for the first time on Sunday January 16 afterweeks of gruelling training with her professional partners.

Rugby champ Ben Foden was the first to be evicted from the ice skating show, while Pussycat Dolls’ Kimberly Wyatt, 40, Strictly’s Brendan Cole, 45, and 26 year old Regan Gascoigne made it all the way to the final.

Kimberly was paired with Mark Hanretty, Brendan with Vanessa Bauer who won the show in 2018 and Regan was with Karina Manta.

Speaking after being awarded the trophy, Regan said he never thought he'd win the show, after breaking down in tears.

Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby dressed for tonight's occasion, as Holly donned a stunning gold sequin dress while Phillip looked dapper in a black velvet blazer and bowtie.

Prior to tonight's final, Kimberly, Brendan and Regan had all scored frequent 40s across the board but Regan pipped his competitors to the post.

Kimberly and her partner Mark came in third place. Speaking to Holly and Phillip afterwards, Kimberly said the show was a “beautiful experience”.

She also credited the show for adding a “spark” back into her marriage to Max Rogers.

“You know, Max fell in love with me because he saw me on stage dancing and he was just, like . . . he loves what I do,” she toldThe Sun.

“So to re-spark that love and remind us of where we started . . . as hard as this experience [Dancing On Ice] could be on a marriage, my husband has been unbelievable and supportive, and I can’t wait to run back into his arms and when the final is over, sort of respark our lives.”

With Dancing On Ice having now come to an end, Associate Creative Director Dan Whiston shared with us the plans for the show's afterparty.

"There is 100 per cent going to be a party afterwards and they're always great fun. I cannot wait to get to that G&T. I think I speak for the rest of the cast as well. There will be a queue around the corner for the bar," he said.

"Everyone is so overjoyed to have made the final and the atmosphere backstage is beautiful. Everyone feels so joyous and happy. Yesterday all the pros and celebrities returned and that was an amazing moment and it was like party time. So everyone will be there for the final and afterparty."
