What's going on with Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard in Love Island?

Casa Amor has a lot to answer for on Love Island, as the former ‘mum and dad of the villa’ Amy and Curtis have now split up, and Maura might be about to make her move in the aftermath.

Amy, 26, was left very upset and ended up receiving ‘psychological support’ as a result of her half-boyfriend’s head turning, which was then followed up by his calling their whole half-relationship off.

After first admitting that his head had been turned by Casa Amor cast member Jourdan Riane, Curtis, 23, then decided in the following episode that, as he couldn’t promise that he wouldn’t hurt Amy again, he decided it was best for them to part ways.

He told her: ‘I’ve meant everything I’ve said but I can’t promise you that this won’t happen again and I don’t want to hurt you how I’ve hurt you.

As if that wasn’t enough drama for one series, there’s a chance that Maura might be about to make a play for the dancer. They do have a little bit of a history after all…

What’s going on with Maura and Curtis?

Way back when Maura first came to the Love Island villa, and Curtis was still in a supposedly happy couple with Amy, he admitted to his fellow Islander Danny that he’d previously slid into Maura’s DMs before his time on the show.

However that social media flirtation was to no avail, as Maura never replied and nothing ever came of it.

Now that Curtis is single, our Maura has admitted that she might have a hankering for the dancer in a preview for tonight’s episode.

‘He’s obviously gorgeous,’ she says to Lucie Donlan.

‘His smile is like f*****g hell. He’s very manly. I love that. I want him to teach me how to dance.’

However Maura didn’t turn Curtis’ head away from Amy when she entered the villa, so if she does make a move, will he be into it? And what about Maura’s new beau Marvin anyway?

Alas, we’ll have to tune in to find out more…

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
